History and Philosophy

The earliest description of Hatha Yoga dates back to the 5th century BC, which mentions using asanas ( one of the eight limbs of yoga) to elevate one's consciousness from gross to subtle plane. With the advent of modern-day yoga, the traditional practices of Hatha Yoga are swayed in due course of time and are only taught in a few authentic schools across the Indian subcontinent.
